Our Trip to New Hampshire

We headed up North to visit with some of Mike’s extended family in Jackson NH!  Mike’s Aunt & uncle  own The Shannon Door, minutes from Story Land, be sure to stop in there for the best pizza EVER!   

Well, we stayed with Kathleen and Reed and their 3 adorable children Mae, Liam and Finn, in their beautiful log cabin in the mountains! GORGEOUS!  Kate & Patrick loved being with all the family, as did Mike and I.

While we were up there even more extended family was coming up…The Riley's!! SOOOO many cousins!! I think there were a total of 16 cousins.  We all met at Story land, and spent the day together!  What a great day it was!

I can't help but feel like I am cheating with these little bullet points and photo collages. I suppose its better then nothing! Which is what you would be getting if I had to write a blog entry for the last 5 months!!! Maybe someday, it will catch up and you will know what I am so busy doing!! I am back dating all this, you know so its less obvious. I have decided that if it is a pretty big event, I will be posting a seperate post.

Patrick’s Baptism

Today we celebrated Patrick’s Christening with our dear family and friends!  Although, I went back and fourth on whether or not Patrick should wear the gown that my siblings , Kathryn and I all wore, ultimately I decided that it was more meaningful for him to wear a family heirloom, then worry if it was OK for my son to wear a dress   gown.  Rev.  Peggy did a beautiful baptism, Melissa is Patrick’s Godmother and Justin is the godfather.  We are blessed to have them in both of our children’s lives.  After church we had a brunch at our house.  It was a beautiful day for our handsome little man.

A Day At The Zoo!

Today we had passes to the Stone Zoo! Love free passes from the library, can't beat FREE!! Thankfully it was a goregeous day! We have had more the our share of rain lately, and I was worried our plans for the zoo would be rained out!!

I can remember going to the Stone Zoo as a child and thinking it was boring and didn't have many exhibits! ( I had already been to the San Diego Zoo so it was a tough act to follow) As a parent with two under two, I thought it was perfect! Just enough to keep Kathryn's attention,and mine.

Looking forward to going back again soon!!

Time for solids ALREADY?!

Wow! I can't believe that its already time to start Patrick on solids! He is more then ready...me not so much! It's just another reminder that my baby is growing up much too quickly. Up until this point I have been Patrick's primary food source. Yes, he has had an occasional bottle, which was only available after me slaving over the dreaded breast pump. I am all about nursing and I think it is best for baby on many levels... but pumping STINKS!! I am thankful to have a top of the line pump...so it is quick and efficent. So it is with mixed emotion that I introduce my little man to solids... I know he will love them....and he did! As you can see from the photos he was feeding himself...our little over achiever!!!
