WOW! I haven't blogged in months!!

Ok, first I am sorry to anyone that regularly checks this blog for all the fun and exciting things going on in the land of Murphy's!

Good news is I have A LOT to update and TONS of pictures!

I hope to be got up by the end of the week. Hopefully once you hear and see all we have been up to you will understand why I have been on an unscheduled hiatus!

Also, I plan to stay current and use this board as more of a sounding board and share my crafts and recipes you know really show you just how much a Martha Stewart (with 2 kidlets) I am! Since I do it all with two under two I guess that makes me better then Miss Martha ;)!

August Synopsis

Finally some sunny weather!! This summer has been such a rainy one.  We have welcomed some beach days!  I think we went to a beach everyday for a week straight!  Kathryn is a little fish! Patrick just enjoys being with us… and trying to eat sand!

Jackson Falls

On our last day in Jackson, NH, we headed to the Jackson Falls to take some pictures.  Unfortunately, Patrick slept the entire time we were there.  However, we were able to get some amazing shots of Kathryn!

 

 Our Trip to New Hampshire

We headed up North to visit with some of Mike’s extended family in Jackson NH!  Mike’s Aunt & uncle  own The Shannon Door, minutes from Story Land, be sure to stop in there for the best pizza EVER!   

Well, we stayed with Kathleen and Reed and their 3 adorable children Mae, Liam and Finn, in their beautiful log cabin in the mountains! GORGEOUS!  Kate & Patrick loved being with all the family, as did Mike and I.

While we were up there even more extended family was coming up…The Riley's!! SOOOO many cousins!! I think there were a total of 16 cousins.  We all met at Story land, and spent the day together!  What a great day it was!

I can't help but feel like I am cheating with these little bullet points and photo collages. I suppose its better then nothing! Which is what you would be getting if I had to write a blog entry for the last 5 months!!! Maybe someday, it will catch up and you will know what I am so busy doing!! I am back dating all this, you know so its less obvious. I have decided that if it is a pretty big event, I will be posting a seperate post.

Patrick’s Baptism

Today we celebrated Patrick’s Christening with our dear family and friends!  Although, I went back and fourth on whether or not Patrick should wear the gown that my siblings , Kathryn and I all wore, ultimately I decided that it was more meaningful for him to wear a family heirloom, then worry if it was OK for my son to wear a dress   gown.  Rev.  Peggy did a beautiful baptism, Melissa is Patrick’s Godmother and Justin is the godfather.  We are blessed to have them in both of our children’s lives.  After church we had a brunch at our house.  It was a beautiful day for our handsome little man.
