Stream Of Consciousness

Not a lot to say but it’s been awhile since I last blogged, and I find that the Stream of Consciousness blogs tend to be the most helpful to me when I am journaling scrapbook pages.

Speaking of scrapbook pages Katy & Patrick’s 1st set of Shutterfly books arrived today and can I tell you How HAPPY I am. They are my newest prized possessions. I love that Mike was excited as me when he saw the UPS truck pull up. THEY ARE GORGEOUS worth every penny. I am so excited to show them to Katy & Patrick tomorrow. Very happy for my decision to make they yearly books this way! I still love my paper crafting, but this is a great solution.

I have a ton of fun photos to share… sadly they were all taken on with my camera phone so I will share them once I figure out how to get them off my phone.

Katy is awesome! She continues to amaze us with her sense of humor and quick wit! She is shocking us with her ability to sort and count. Oh, and her vocabulary… I think I might have found my match! She can certainly talk me under the table. Mike like’s to remind of how I couldn’t wait to hear what her voice sounded like… well now I know and it’s usually music to my ears.

Katy’s heart… seems to be holding steady. We have noticed some changes in her this past week which are concerning to us but not yet alarming. We have informed the team and at this point we are just observing her and hoping that they turn out to be nothing. It’s official Kate is potty trained!

Patrick is doing well! Reminding us each and everyday how different boys are from girls. He is a mover and climber! Lately he has been especially interested in helping in the kitchen. He has also a new found love with LEGOS.

Stream of Consciousness

Yesterday I started back to my 10 hour school day! Oh, MY!

It’s a long day, but its nice to be with friends, and feeling knowledge flow in to my brain, discussing sometimes debating with others about beliefs and feelings on various subjects, sometimes hot button issues.  It’s nice to have a “safe” environment to defend your beliefs and opinions.  I know the kids have a great day with daddy.  Yesterday, I left them all a  love note, when I got home Katy asked me about the love list I left with red marker.  I love that she is old enough to get things like that.

We have been busy running errands and preparing for Patrick’s SECOND birthday! Yup, he is going to be 2! My goodness!   2 years have flown by.  He is very excited (as is Katy) for his monkey party!   Need to plan the menu and shop for that this week, and I still have favors and his banner to make.  More on that later

Katy’s G tube site is looking FANTASTIC… I hate to even write that for fear of jinxing us.

Mike and I  ( really just Mike, since I have not been feeling 100% for the past couple days) has been working hard on our house to simplify.  Which makes my heart happy and clears my mind.  It also, is a reminder that as long as we have a house full of babies… it’s never going to perfect, and you know what I am OK with that.  As long as the house is clean a little clutter won’t kill us… I am just trying to keep the clutter to  a minimum.  Basically, I want our home completely livable and comfortable for Patrick and whoever comes to care for him, when we get “THE CALL” which is why I think it has been so high on my to do list.

Speaking of “THE CALL” we are trying to prepare as best we can, I mean its nearly impossible to plan for something that you don’t know when its going to happen.  But, we have a semi plan in place and I am feeling comfortable with that.

Sorry I don’t have any new pictures to share… all has been kind of boring around here.  I should have some fun snow pictures by the end of the week! It sounds like we are getting hit hard!! Super excited for that, but it is making my birthday errand schedule a bit cramped.

Stream of Consciousness

Ahh… SO much to say. Some of it I will attempt to do in this post and the rest is probably better left unsaid… If you are like my husband… that last statement will drive you crazy. Not my intention but not sure I have the brain power to spill it all right now. Not to say that I won’t in the future.

So what have the Murphy’s been up to since our return from the happiest place on earth… oh, you know us never a dull moment. Mike’s famous words “Honey, It’s OK, but damn we couldn’t make this shit up”

So as you know we arrived back on Sunday and by Monday afternoon Katy & I were headed in to children for some fluids. No big deal!

On Thursday 10/16 Katy had a routine GI appointment to have her G tube looked at… when will we learn that it is never ROUTINE for my girl Kate. GI doc was not impressed with how the sight looked… he felt it looked infected…we felt it looked like it had since she had the damn tube placed 6 weeks ago. So that earned Katy an admission to good old 8 EAST for a super duper dose of IV antibiotics. Now mind you this is 9 days before we move!

UGGG so we arrange care for Patrick! Thanks Tracy! and just try to get through the 48 hour admission. The team really worked well with us to get us in and out as soon as possible.

So then we are hope to PACK AND PACK AND PACK! My mom came over to help! Thank goodness!

Moving day finally arrived… Thanks to John, Justin, Brice, my mom and Krissie… were able to get it all moved and the kitchen and Bath somewhat settled.

Super Special Thanks!! to Papa & Tracy for taking the kids for the ENTIRE day! WE couldn’t have done it with the babes around and they had a blast at Papa’s!

So we are in and slowly but surely getting it done. The boxes and chaos make me very unsettled. We already love our new home and town. This is going to be a great thing for us.

Once I have a moment or two I will get our We’ve Moved address cards out to you!
