...that was the question. Mike and I have contemplated for the past year how we wanted to spell her nick name. We we went with the more common spelling of
K A T I E for the 1st year. We recently decided that we think K A T Y is a more fitting spelling for our Kathryn! I think its cuter... Mike thinks it makes more sense given the spelling we chose for Kathryn. So from this point forward we will go with KATY.

I like 'Katy' too. But I LOVE that you've called her Kate a lot. When my Kathleen was born (I had wanted Kaitlyn but there were way too many of those that year!) I wanted to call her Katie with the intention of her being Kate when she got older. Well, I never called her by anything other than Kathleen* and now (16 years later! OMG!) it's too late. She chose to go by 'Kat' which I'm hoping will change to Kate as she gets older.
*okay, okay, I admit I used to call her 'my little cihckenhead' (who knows why...) and I still call her 'chicken' to this day, much to her embarassment...
