Status Quo

Not much to report here.

We are gearing up for a our busy season… we hibernate for the Winter.  Then we slowly emerge at the first sign of flip flop weather and we are going full throttle by May 1st and we run and run and run until November 1st.

I don’t know why it is… maybe it’s the germs, maybe it’s seasonal depression, or the cold.  I don’t know but we spend our winters cuddled up.  I love that time.  We linger in our jammies a bit longer, we really slow down.  As much as I enjoy our snuggled winters I love are fun filled, warm days.  Whether our days are spent at the beach, the park, visiting our extended families, or late nights in the driveway drawing murals with side walk chalk, they are so much fun! So full, so busy…maybe that is why we spend the following 6 months recovering.

Hard to believe Katy’s last hospitalization was in November.

I am shocked and unbelievably happy and hopeful we can make it through the summer.

We see transplant on Tues and we have an Echo to check in on that funky heart.  I know they are going to want to schedule a Cath… I am going to try to hold them off until end of June.

That’s all… not much to say like I said we are pretty status quo… and status quo is fine by me.

Scrapbook Sunday

Murphy Custom Creations is booming lately, and I haven’t had a lot of time to scrapbook.  I managed to get a few pages done today.

DISCLAIMER: I surf the net and many scrapbooking blogs, boards etc. I am 99.9% none of these pages are my original design… I am sure I saw them somewhere, or they are my interpretation of a sketch. I am not a professional scrap booker… although I would like to be! I don’t list supplies and keep track of what came from where… that would take away valuable time that I can spend creating.
If you have a question… feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer you.

Wordless Wednesday

It’s been awhile since  I posted one of these… I just couldn’t wait to share these pictures.  I don’t have anything witty to say to accompany them…hence the Wordless Wednesday.

Bittersweet

I was reading on a message board that I frequent (much to often) and a thread was started asking the moms

“Will I spend the rest of my life feeling bittersweet about my kid(s) growing up? Do you ever get past the 'it's zooming by too fast' part? “

I could have written that post myself… I didn’t because I know that the answer is NO.  I have watched my mom struggle with missing her babies, as I am sure every other mother does.

I can barely bring myself to watch home videos from when they were younger… it’s no wonder my mom looses her shit watching me and my siblings dancing around our house in our underwear.

Seriously this brings me to tears:

Please excuse my most annoying voice. I really hope I don’t sound like that in real life! HA!

Check back next week for another Flashback Friday Video

Got Eggs?

We do… I think Mike and I filled about 80 plastic eggs Saturday night…while the kids had a sleepover at Papa’s.  Sleep over at Papa’s the night before Easter may have been poor planning on my part…since the Easter Bunny had to get up extra early Easter morning to get to my dad’s before the kiddos woke up.

I think my dad was very happy to help play Easter bunny…since I got his text at 7AM to BRING BABY POWDER!! Oh, yeah Papa did bunny prints like it was his job!

Once Nana Tracy & Cole came it was time for The Great Easter Egg Hunt… I think that this might have been the first year that we needed coats… it was chilly, but fun!

I don’t know when the little guy became so sexist…but if they egg was pink or purple, it went in sisters basket… crazy boy! Candy is Candy!
