Mom’s Get in the PICTURES

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

I love seeing all the pictures of your adorable kids… It’s 99 % of the reason I visit your blogs or Facebook. Kids are cute!!!   I love that in this digital age we are all taking lots more photos than our parents did, and I know our kids or going to love seeing every millisecond of their life.

Do you know what they are going to love even more 30 years from now?!

They are going to love seeing YOU in the pictures with them.

Pass the camera off… I try and I would say I make it in to roughly 10% percent of the photos OK maybe it’s more like 5 %.  I have been known to shy away, because I don’t have any make up on or yadda yadda yadda…  but I try to get in there, and you should to.

Also, try not to zero in so tightly on your little sweeties face.  I do this because 99% of the time I am trying to hide mount laundry… but try to get some shots of their surroundings they will get a kick out of seeing the styles and decorations in their home from the olden days.

Part Fish

I think K & P are part fish… oh sorry Katy is a mermaid.

Just ask her.

Boston like much of the country is experiencing a HEAT WAVE!!

After the winter we had… I won’t complain… but WOW is it hot.

Thankfully Katy had her cast removed yesterday!!!

So we were really able to splash around in the pool.  We spent all day at Papa’s in the water since that was the only way to beat the 102 heat!!

Have I mentioned that I LOVE PUDDLE JUMPERS!

They didn’t pay me to say that!!

In my opinion they are without a doubt the best float I have found and trust me I have bought almost every other one on the market.  I first saw them on http://www.kellehampton.com/ I loved how confident her daughter seemed in the water!

I also needed a better option than what I had… and it is nearly impossible for me to relax for a second with two active toddlers running near the pool.   Puddle Jumpers ROCK!! I bought ours at Target.

Can you believe it’s been a year?

Katy has been listed and waiting for her new heart for over a year.

Average wait for a status 1B is 80 days… 80 days!!

At times the wait has been unbearable… at times I am angry.

Mostly I am thankful…

thankful for this:

Katy had a big Cardiac appointment today and the team is still amazed with how well she is doing.  Of course we would all have liked to see her gain some weight.  The team basically told us to keep doing what we are doing and to expect to keep waiting.

We had to resign all the transplant paper work since it has been so long.  We were reminded that although the wait is long… we still have a lot of options.  One of them being the Berlin Heart.  It is my hope that we are never faced with the need for the Berlin heart but options are always comforting.

Katy’s a star!

We already knew that!

Our family was generously gifted tickets to the Spinners game on July 11th.  Uncle Connie & Aunt Kathleen have the hook ups and they are always so generous to our kids.

It’s really special to me that Katy & Patrick have such a great relationship with them.  They are really their Murphy Pseudo Grandparents since Mike’s dad passed on before they were born.  Katy loves her Uncle Connie and the feeling is quite mutual.

Of course Katy & Patrick were once again treated as royalty and had the opportunity to ride out with the  Canaligators(Spinners Mascot) on Thomas the Train and Katy’s name was up on the  Jumbotron when they introduced her and shared a bit of her story.

It was extra special for Uncle Connie and Aunt Kathleen to accompany us to the game.  It was a first game for us, and it was great to share the experience with them.  The Lowell Spinners are a farm team of our beloved Red Sox!! The ballpark was clean and roomy and very kid friendly.  We all had a blast.
