Sunday Smiles 12-12-10

I am excited to hear that some of you are going to start doing Sunday Smiles… (that makes me smile) Don’t forget to link back to here. I am looking into having a Sunday Smiles button made. I really wish I was more digitally inclined.

So this weeks smiles…

Monday 12-6-10 Editing pictures from Katy’s birthday celebrations. She was so happy and excited!!

Tuesday 12-7-10 Patrick running up to Santa…and giving him a High 5! He was so excited to see Santa. I don’t know what it is that makes visiting Santa so magical. I have a fabulous family photo so I can relive that moment.

Wednesday 12-8-10 Katy packing her Minnie bag for her stay at Children’s. It amazes me after all she has been through, she loves going to see all her “fans”.

Thursday 12-9-10 Katy’s surgery going so smoothly….she didn’t have to stay overnight! AMAZING!!!!

Friday- 12-10-10 Watching Katy and Patrick admire all the ornaments on the tree. Love that they admire with their eyes and not their hands!

Saturday 12-11-10 Realizing I only have three people left to shop for and one is a gift card!

Sunday 12-12-10 Being SICK as a DAWG… sicker than I ever remember being and Mike telling me I still look beautiful.

What made you smile?!

Sunday Smiles

Yup, that’s the name I decided on.

Sundays… I will hopefully reflect on the things that made me smile. It is my hope that I will have 7 things that made me smile…one for each day of the week.

Even though I struggled with deep in depth things to be thankful for in my Give Thanks Posts. I am pretty confident that I can always find things that make me smile.

I did it this week and it was AWESOME! As I felt the smile come across my face, I took notice and relished in it. It made what would normally be something I would just over look, meaningful.

1. Picking up the laundry off the floor and seeing 4 towels hanging in the bathroom… Love my family!

2. mmm… peppermint lattes

3. Katy’s excitement as we prepped for her birthday party

4. Having a heart to heart with Mike’s son Justin.

5. Listening to K & P chatting in their cribs before bed.

6. Reading “Just One More” Bedtime story

7. Hearing Mike’s new voice mail message… that ended with “If this is Amiee, I love you”

Writing all those things out made me smile all over again.

Eh… 25 Days of Thankfulness turned into 14

Yup, that’s right I am stopping right there at Day 14 of Thankfulness…. Its not that I am not Thankful for more… its that I found it to be a stressful chore, and that doesn’t work for me.

So this is my blog and I am changing it up.

That said I will continue in a different way… since I did like the opportunity that the 14 days of Thankfulness gave me, in that it forced me to sit and think of all I have…which also reminded me of all things I have not to be thankful for which on some days really made me feel blah! I don’t need anymore blah.

I also find it hard to write each and EVERY day… It’s difficult to always find the time and the words to write daily.

I have been thinking about how I can still take that moment to reflect on the good, because regardless of how hard life is sometimes. There is usually not a day that can pass that I can’t find something to be happy for.

So I will be doing a Friday Recap… of the things I am Happy for. I don’t know what I will call it. Maybe just TGIF Happiness?! What do you think?! I would even be willing to do it on Sundays. If you think of a better name that fits with Sunday.
